What to write us about
Data corrections
Found a wrong height, broken dog-policy flag, or dead trailhead link? Include the waterfall slug in the subject (e.g. [fix] snoqualmie-falls) and explain what's wrong. Bonus points for citing a source we can verify. Fixes usually go live within 48 hours.
Safety reports
If we've flagged something as “swimmable” or “easy” that you found genuinely dangerous, tell us. Same for missing fatality warnings. Subject: [safety] slug. These get triaged within 24 hours.
Tips and submissions
Know a waterfall we're missing? Have a photo we should consider (you own the rights, CC-by-attribution or CC0 license)? Send it. We've added 87 waterfalls to our list from reader emails so far.
DMCA / copyright
See our DMCA takedown procedure for the formal process. Subject: DMCA Takedown. Acted on within 5 business days.
Press, partnerships, podcast
We do interviews when the angle makes sense — outdoor publishing, data journalism, slow travel. Send context, deadline, and what you need from us. For sponsorship and partnership inquiries, please include a budget range and what an integration would look like.
Privacy + legal
For GDPR/CCPA data requests, see privacy. For legal notices, same email above; we don't maintain a registered agent.
What not to email about
- Custom trip planning. We can't plan your road trip for you — there are 5,573 waterfalls and we've been to 1,142 of them. Use the trip planner tool instead.
- SEO / backlink swaps. No. Please don't.
- Affiliate offers. We have a small contextual affiliate program in development. If you represent an outdoor brand and have a specific co-mentioned-product proposal, we'll consider it. Generic offers get archived without reply.
Where we are
Currently in a 2018 Sprinter somewhere in the Mountain West. Mailing address for legal purposes only is available on request. We're typically in cell range for 5-6 days at a time, then off-grid for 2-3 — please don't worry if a reply takes a few days.
