Moulton Falls is a short cascade on the East Fork Lewis River inside Moulton Falls Regional Park, a 400-acre Clark County park north of Vancouver, WA. The destination is less the drop and more the 63-foot wooden arch bridge spanning the river above the falls. Free, accessible, and a popular family swimming hole — though a 2014 drowning underlines that the currents deserve respect.
The trail
1.4 miles each way, rated easy with 100 feet of elevation gain. Free lot at 27781 NE Lucia Falls Rd, Yacolt WA. Wide, hard-surfaced trail to the bridge and falls overlook.
Is the water flowing right now?
Most waterfall sites don't tell you this. The waterfall itself is almost never gauged, but a USGS streamgage in the same watershed can tell you whether snowmelt has started, peaked, or run dry.
