Twin Falls is a 125-foot block waterfall on the Snake River, the source of the city of Twin Falls's name, sitting a mile upstream of the more famous Shoshone Falls. Originally a two-channel cataract over a basalt shelf, today only one channel runs because Idaho Power's hydro project diverts the other. Flow varies hour to hour with power releases — for a guaranteed view, drive 4 minutes further to Shoshone Falls instead.
